Shawn Ahuja
Articling Student
Shawn Ahuja joined Origin Law Group in June 2022. He obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) Degree from Bond University in Gold Coast, Australia. He has also been admitted as a lawyer in New South Wales, Australia. During his time there, he worked at a boutique criminal defense firm in Sydney, Australia and has experience in dealing with criminal defense matters. Shortly after, he decided to move back to his hometown in Surrey, B.C. and is now an articled student at Origin Law Group. Presently, he deals with all sorts of matters, from Civil, Wills & Estates, Property, Immigration and Family Law. He is very passionate about Immigration and Family Law, particularly when helping individuals during their most difficult times. In his younger years, he has spent a lot of time, alongside the RCMP and VPD, helping addicted individuals in the Downtown Eastside. Shawn currently volunteers with the liveBIG Society, which promotes health by providing individuals with substance and alcohol addiction issues with access to counselling, information, treatment, aftercare and/ or group support programs.
Outside of law and during his spare time, Shawn enjoys spending time with family and friends. He also enjoys travelling as much as possible and loves the outdoors. You can often find Shawn somewhere on a beach, by the water, or hiking through trails in British Columbia.
