Inder co-founded Origin Law Group, formerly known as SB Law Group, in 2018 as Managing Director and is responsible for the firm’s day to day business operations. With decades of business development experience, Inder works closely with his management team overseeing Human Resources, Marketing, Information Technology, Finance, and Office Services. Just as exciting are his efforts in the firm’s Business Procurement. Inder has developed integral relationships with health and rehabilitation care service providers, accounting and real estate firms, real estate developers and various other medical and business professionals to help identify their legal needs in order to seamlessly match those needs to the skills and interests of specific lawyers at Origin Law Group.
Inder is a fast paced and driven business executive with deep knowledge of all areas of business. He focuses on unlocking financial value AND making a positive difference in the world. Inder loves to remain up to date with technology and to keep apprised of global events. Prior to founding Origin Law Group, Inder spent 18 years with various multi-national companies and major brands such as Starbucks, Lululemon, FedEx, Scandinavian Tobacco Group, and Colliers
International, implementing nation-wide marketing and business development strategies. During his work experience, Inder also completed his Bachelor’s in Business Administration majoring in Entrepreneurial Leadership. Inder completed further studies at the Sauder School of Business in Executive Education. Inder takes an analytical, logical, and resourceful approach to relationship building, problem solving, prospecting and decision-making. These traits lend a unique perspective in his management role. Inder dedicates his free-time to learning and exceling as a new Golfer and enjoying the outdoors with his wife and two young boys.
Jessi DhanjuBarrister & Solicitor
Jessi is an innovative and committed Lawyer, with a practice focusing on Family Law. In addition, to his busy Family Law practise, Jessi assists clients with Wills and Estate matters, as well as General Civil Litigation.
Jessi has completed his legal education at the University of Manchester, and holds an LLB (Hons), and an LLM (International Human Rights Law). Jessi also holds his qualified arbitrator designation, and is a chartered professional in human resources.
Outside of the office, Jessi dedicates his time to challenging stigma in the world. He is extremely passionate for Human Rights, specifically when it comes to matters relating to gender equality and sex trafficking. Through his own unique lived experiences with an invisible disability, he advocates for those living life with visible and invisible disabilities.

Reena Gill Paralegal/Office Manager
Reena has been with Original Law Group since its inception in 2018 (formerly SB Law Group) as a Paralegal/Office Manager. Reena was instrumental in laying the ground-work of the firm in all areas – Human Resources, Finance, Information Technology, and Office Services. Reena brings with her a wealth of knowledge with her 12 years of experience having done both ICBC defence and plaintiff personal injury claims. Reena has mastered the art of clear, concise, and persuasive written communications that sets her apart from her peers.
She works closely with our lawyers to oversee the logistical complexities of trial or closing that requires a focus on a multitude of details ranging from numbering exhibits and double-checking budgets to tracking court dates and filing deadlines. She works collaboratively with outside parties including clients, opposing counsel, experts and vendors. Reena has solid investigative skills in civil, criminal and transactional contexts that are also necessary for tracking down medical records, evidence, documents, and witnesses.
Outside of the office, Reena enjoys travelling and spending time with her family and friends.
Sumit Ahuja Barrister & Solicitor
During his career, Sumit has had the privilege and honour of working with and learning from some of the most respected lawyers in British Columbia. He was called to the bar in British Columbia on April 15, 2011 and commenced his career with a law firm with offices in Vancouver, Surrey, Fort St. John and Kelowna. Sumit was promoted to a managing associate role and assisted with the opening and running of one of the offices. A fierce and respectable advocate, Sumit has obtained tremendous experience in all levels of Court in British Columbia.
In 2014, Sumit joined a large law firm with offices in Vancouver and Langley where he built a busy practice and continued to work for clients in the areas of Family, Immigration and Criminal Law. Sumit has been in recovery from addiction since March 2, 2017. Addiction almost ended his life. It took him away from his beautiful wife and two children. He has personally experienced what his clients feel and deal with – and these experiences have given him perspective and a deeper level of empathy for others. Sumit draws on his own struggles and life to advocate robustly for his clients.
In April 2020, Sumit joined Origin Law Group and represent clients exclusively in the areas of Family and Immigration Law. He is an invaluable member of the team and is intimately involved with the development of Original Law Group.
Outside of law, Sumit is the founder of the #liveBIG Society, which is a not-for-profit organization that raises awareness about addiction. The #liveBIG Society raises funds and assists people suffering from addictions to attend treatment centres and aftercare/monitoring programs. Sumit spends his free time with his amazing family and friends. He loves to play sports and read books. Sumit and his sons especially love football – where Sumit takes an active role as a volunteer coach with the North Surrey Minor League Football.

Jasmin was born and raised in Surrey, British Columbia. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Simon Fraser University. While studying psychology, Jasmin volunteered with the Canadian Diabetes Association and City of Surrey Special Events. Having studied psychology, Jasmin’s interest in human behaviour drove her passion to better understand others’ problems and come up with solutions that would best fit their needs – particularly, in the field of law.
She obtained her Juris Doctor (with Distinction) from the Bond University Faculty of Law in Gold Coast, Australia in 2019. While at Bond, Jasmin gained practical experience by participating in various moot trials, negotiations and client interviews. She has developed an interest in the areas of family law and wills and estates, estate litigation, and is passionate about helping clients achieve their goals. In her spare time, Jasmin enjoys yoga, travelling and exploring different cuisines.
